Our coaching team offers athletes a tremendous opportunity to rehabilitate outside of the "norm". Most rehabilitation protocols are just that, protocols. They are not specific enough or adapting to the daily ins and outs for an athlete. Ever wondered why every pitcher out of Tommy-John surgery gets the same throwing protocol? Are they the same athlete with the same needs? At ZL Performance our backgrounds allow us to provide a different level of customization throughout the rehab process. This gets our athletes back on the field faster and safer than the average program. ​

WHAT IS POSTURAL THERAPY?
Postural therapy is a holistic-based method of therapy that uses passive and active exercises to improve the body's alignment and balance. What makes our method different than the postural norms is that through assessment we can determine what deviations hurt your performance and which ones help. Not every postural deviation of an athlete needs to be changed during their career.
Postural therapy is a foundational component of all in-person & digital programming at ZLP. It gives our athletes the ability to move better, recover faster, and remain healthier than their competition.
Those trying to find a “leg-up” on the competition—a way to stand out above the rest—may need to evaluate their training programs that, more often than not, look the same as their competition.
It’s much more often the case that the athletes who achieve real greatness don’t fit the formula at all. In fact, they break the mold. They do something completely different.
In February 2018, our postural specialist, Tyler Skovron, began working with his first MLB athlete strictly for postural therapy. By Spring Training 2019 Tyler had worked consistently on 35+ MLB athletes, due to the immediate results players were able to feel and see in their performance.
